Therapeutic Services

It is Richard's aim to provide a professional psychological service that includes therapeutic interventions on an individual, couple and group basis. Therapeutic services are provided for anyone over 18 years of age who may find themselves challenged by difficulties such as anxiety, depression, phobias or relationship difficulties amongst others.

Richard practices from an eclectic perspective that is guided by humanistic thinking which is non-pathologising and values aspects such as self-actualisation, authenticity, creativity and the importance of meaningful relationships.

Therapy sessions are usually offered on a weekly basis at regular times.

Formal Assessment Services

A variety of psychometric assessments are offered which include clinical, emotional and behavioural and psychoeducational assessments.

Ecopsychological Services

Richard has a keen interest in Ecopsychology and how our relationship with nature can facilitate growth, balance and health. Ecopsychology maintains that our relationship with nature and wild spaces is paramount to our mental health and well-being. Time spent in nature can be emotionally healing and personally fulfilling.

Ecopsychological Services at Slievemore embody wilderness therapy and adventure therapy experiences for anyone over 16 years of age. These experiences are residential in character and are facilitated in both Ireland and South Africa.
